6200LB National Sportsman 4x4 Trucks

David Whitley and his hard-charging truck Strokin powered their way to the 2025 Sportsman 4x4 Championship in commanding fashion this season. Channeling the spirit of his father, Ken Whitley — whose Modified 4x4 truck of the same name was a standout on the USHRA and TNT Motorsports circuits in the late 1980s and early 1990s — David carried on the family legacy with authority and precision on today’s track.

Strokin delivered huge wins at Rockfish, Cartersville, and Dillwyn, Virginia, proving to be a serious contender every time it hooked to the sled. Beyond those marquee victories, David stacked up four second-place finishes and one third-place finish, showcasing the consistency and competitive edge needed to rise to the top of a stacked Sportsman 4x4 field. No matter the track conditions, he found a way to keep the truck hooked up and in the hunt.

Backed by a dedicated crew, Ashlyn and his dad Ken and fueled by a legacy decades in the making, David Whitley’s championship run was about more than just points — it was about honoring the past while building his own chapter in the sport. Congratulations to David and the entire Strokin team on a 2025 season defined by horsepower, heart, and championship grit.
