8000LB Light Pro Stock Tractors
These tractors are anything but stock. They must weigh in at 8,000 pounds. They feature a 466 cubic inch maximum engine size, 24.50" x 32" tires, and roll cages are mandatory.
Rusty Tanner and his John Deere “Second Chance” put together a season that felt less like a run… and more like a statement.
Competing in the always-intense Light Pro Stock division, Rusty rolled through 2025 with authority, stacking up major wins in Rocky Mount, Buchanan, Orange, Dillwyn, Amelia, and Millers Tavern. No matter the track conditions or the depth of the field, “Second Chance” came ready to hook — and more often than not, it left with the top spot.
But what makes this run even sweeter is the history behind the sheet metal.
This very tractor stood at the top once before — claiming a championship back in 2012 under the ownership of Josh Sims. After years away from that spotlight, “Second Chance” has officially returned to where it belongs: front and center.
Rusty’s season wasn’t just about horsepower. It was about consistency, precision, and keeping the tractor dialed in week after week. When the green flag dropped, he delivered smooth, controlled passes that proved this wasn’t luck — it was preparation meeting opportunity.
From past champion to present powerhouse, “Second Chance” has completed its return to glory.
Congratulations to Rusty, Sheri, and crew on an unforgettable season — proof that sometimes, the best stories in pulling really are about earning that second chance.
